the freaking swimming pool is at least 1m deep. scaryyy. starting from changi airport...
turns out i woke up at 5.15 am for no reason. reached airport at like 6.30? the flight was supposed to leave at 8.10 and gate was supposed to open at 7.50. then from gate E2 they transferred it to gate F30.
E2 is at one side of the departure hall. F30 is directly opposite it in the runway. So we made a HUGE U turn.
like this. imagine a squarish U. E2 is at the left side. F30 is on the right.
then turns out flight was delayed 20 minutes.
not only that we were 30 minutes late during the actual flight. plus there was turbulence above bangkok and so the pilot climbed HIGHER. higher as in we were 38 000 feet above land. a TALL person is 6 feet. great.
skip all the boring crap, and we wind up at a tuk tuk in Chiang Mai, Thailand. A crazy woman driver who drives like she's racing in GTA IV. i was scared, but not scared. how do i say this...let me quote my bro.
-"as long as i don't hear a screech, bang, ah! i'm fine."
ah, yes. i never knew he was so damn articulate.
so now i'm typing this with a $8 SGD internet connection bought from the hotel in front of the swimming pool where a Korean lady is staring at me right now. ooh, she's wearing a pink shower cap. cute.
more updates tomorrow-if i can get internet connection. you wouldn't believe how freakin hard it is to find wi-fi, free or not.
@1pm i'm going to be in a nice VAN driving to chiang rai. nice. i think whitewater rapids are involved somewhere.
